Are you marketing online without a marketing strategy?

According to Smartinsights.com a lot of  businesses are marketing online without a clear strategy. Is this you? Are you dabbling in social media, tweaking your website and trying to do an e-newsletter but they are not part of an integrated strategy, well  you are not alone. I am all for not following the latest shiny new thing if it doesn’t make sense for your business or more importantly your customers, but when more and more of us are choosing to do our evaluation and research online before we engage with a business, having an online marketing strategy is critical and particularly  that integrating that into a wider Marketing Plan.

It is so important to be intentional with your valuable time and money. By not creating a purposeful and integrated plan you are throwing money down the drain. If you don’t have a plan of how to get to your goals this coming year be it online of offline then you need to think seriously about the result you expect. With more us using devices like smartphones and tablets it is not only important to plan but understand the changing market place of our customers. Even where we are using these devices, at home, work or even the toilet. Yuk! Also what products or services are we searching for. We know that we are searching more online but we are also seeking the opinions of others and reading reviews. So if you don’t have an online presence it might be time to think about where your customers are and how you can best market to them. If you aren’t online, chances are you are invisible.
